a pretty great day
The auditions (two of them to be precise) went rather well. For those who don't know, the first one was the History Seminar thing at NUS, in which a group of us had to come up with a skit that illustrated imperialism. The second was an audition for some stage play at the Youth Centre.
The judges at the history seminar said that we touched on ancient imperialism, which was something quite rare from what they had seen. However, they commented that our play was rather short as compared to the other JCs...
I left NUS with ms nora, aly and mel. We met charlotte and nadia by coincidence at clementi mrt station. And it turned out that charlotte was going to tiong bahru, so we took the same train. Talked about some stuff on the way, like our opinions of people and all that.
When I got off at somerset mrt station, I recieved a message telling me that the audition was postponed to 3pm, instead of 1pm. So, I met bridget first to go for my long-awaited facial session at her aunt's shop. Feels real good after one of those, and better still, I got it at half-price!
So anyway, I rushed back down to the Youth Centre after my facial for the audition. It turns out that my interviewer was pretty impressed with what he saw and heard from me. So, I'm officially in the production. We're doing a musical of the book "Sing To The Dawn" Yeah, it's that elusive secondary school literature book, which explains why we'll be performing for mostly schools. I was told that I'll earn $50 per show, pretty neat.
Had dinner with joshua (my manager) and mary ann (now officially our stage manager) after that. Had a very interesting conversation on explicit stuff... xD
I'm tired
