day 1 of the new year

The first post of the new year! *applause*

Don't mind the enthusiasm. In truth, I'm not really looking forward to this year, cos well, I'm in pre-u 2 now. That means double the stress of pre-u 1! I barely scraped through last year by the skin of my teeth, so yeah.

School re-opens in two days. And I'm so not looking forward to it! Considering the fact that 90 percent of my december holidays were spent attending that stupid diploma course, you probably understand why I'm seriously I need of MORE HOLIDAYS!

Taking the education system into consideration, s'pore isn't exactly the best place to live in. I mean, most people learn stuff only to forget them once a test or exam has passed. And believe me, s'pore is the only country that actually allows the "ten-years series". This encourages students to merely memorise the style of questions, and not so much on the facts. Most other countries already offer tertiary courses in secondary school eg. Media Studies. So in short, I feel some changes ought to be made.
